It's interesting to me when people think that what ever is going on around them is about them. I fall victim to this occasionally as well but to some, their day is shot by anything and everything that others do or say.
Are they looking for a reason to be bummed? Sometimes I think so.

We are just not that important. :-)

i feel bad for them if their day is shot by others, cause i know how it is...it's just when they take it out on others that it becomes an issue. People don't always have control over their emotions or moods, but they do have control over how they interact with others.

Here's what I don't get though, okay, if someone is mean to you or you find out you didn't get a job you wanted or something...that could spoil your mood but little things like, your favorite coffee cup was used and left dirty, even though there are others, is not enough to ruin your mood and cause you to be so grouchy/depressed that you effect others too by your actions. You know? You can be momentarily pissed or even yell out a bit but get over it. It's just not that important.... It's not fair to judge other peoples upsetness levels [did you like that word?] but to a point you can I think...

I do know exactly what you mean.. someone who shall remain nameless comes in last night with something on his mind.. and upsets the whole household because he is in a pissy mood.
That gets me more fired up then whatever he was pissed about.
