I love Matt Smith as the 11th doctor. He has that same quality Tom Baker had, brilliant impishness.

I've yet to see the last season's episodes though, couldn't seem to get my hands on them. (it was about the time I moved to Texas and everything things were a'changing)

I'd only seen a few of Tennant's episodes before Matt started, and while I liked him well enough, the show just didn't really grab me the way that Stargate grabbed me ;-)

I knew that people were really upset about Tennant leaving, and not thrilled about this New Guy, so watched the last episode just to see what the fuss was all about. To my surprise, I fell in love with Matt INSTANTLY!!! And Eleventh Hour just confirmed it--I had found "my" Doctor. And all of a sudden Doctor Who was on my Must Watch list :-)

I'm trying not to think about how long his lines will be, or how expensive his autograph/photo ops will be, or how unlikely it is that we'll actually be able to get into his panel :-( But at least we'll be in the same building, which means there's a *chance* of seeing him *tries to be hopeful*

(and it's the same weekend as Dragon*Con, so that makes the decision about whether to go to Atlanta very simple ;-))
