February Fandom Love Fest part 2 -- ACTION FIGURES!

Feb 13, 2015 13:34

One of the many things I love about fandom is the action figures, and the possibilities they present! I confess that I have taken to carrying a couple of them around in my purse, because you just never know when a photo op will present itself *grins ( Read more... )

Aaaah nice to see something from your figures! But only six? I have a few more ;) I have the SG-1 team alone in three different kind of uniforms (green, black, desert) plus green and blue BDUs for Jack and Daniel. And many many of the other figures both from SG-1 and Atlantis ( ... )

I love your dig set up!

I only took 6 figures with me that weekend; I didn't have that much room in my suitcase (I brought crafting supplies also), so my other SG1 and SGA figures had to stay home with Amy and Rory :-/

The Eleventh Doctor fits nicely into my purse, though, so he goes with me everywhere now :-) The Tenth Doctor has been joining him lately, so they can have adventures together. They came with us to a wedding last fall, and another friend brought her 12 inch Tenth Doctor, and we had a great time photographing them together. The best part was that it was a Doctor Who-themed wedding, so they fit right in!

It's really fun to take them to conventions with us, and see who's willing to play with them :-)

Glad to hear you have more! The way you phrased it sounded as if those were the only ones. Sorry ;) One can never have too many figures in my opinion. I even started to collect other figures as well - apparently there were some with MacDonald's meals - women from all over the world in their traditional clothing. We'll see how I can use those one day!

Did you ever read that entry I wrote about how I started and my life with action figures? I interviewed myself, basically ;) It can be found on this page:

That wedding sounds wonderful! I once put my figures out in a pub in Vancouver and it ended with Jack and Daniel fishing out of the beer glass:

Oh the memories these pictures bring ^_^ I loved watching you and sgamadison set up the figures and take pictures, you both had such brilliant ideas! (Like the background pictures you used) Maybe the next time I get to come to SW I will take part even more, it was fun ^_^ (I'll be honest, it felt a bit awkward at first, didn't really know what I could do with the figures, especially since they aren't mine...)

Thank you for sharing these, and for the smiles ^_^

When the Stargate figures originally came out, I only wanted a Jack, as I was a Jack fan. Then I read if you get the whole team, you get pieces for the gate. Of course I wanted that. So my collection grew and grew as I also needed the ramp, the DHD, the MALP... LOL ( ... )
