Aaaaaaah! You're still there, doing stuff! I missed you ;) (have you seen that I joined the Star Trek fandom in the meantime? Of course I had to buy every figure available. Having great fun with them!)
What a great idea for a story! I love the table and chairs. And the picture.
I've been off LJ for the summer--training several new people at work and I've been stressed and cranky, and just didn't have the energy to do more than occasionally look at a post here and there. Your action figure set-ups are amazing!!! Now that work is slowing down a bit (the new people are mostly trained) I can go back and admire them some more :-)
Oh, and I am especially pleased about the picture! The little frame came with a boring print of a sailboat, and that just wouldn't do for the Doctors ;-) I have a Van Gogh calendar, and the little preview images on the back just happened to be exactly the right size for the frame! That scene from Vincent and the Doctor is one of my favorites, so I'm really glad I had that image for the scene.
For the short time I am actually owning the figures (bought the first in May in Cardiff), there is a lot of stuff already on it ;) I love exploring a new fandom, as it gives you new possibilities and new props to play with. They are done by Diamond Select, like the Stargate figures, so I already had some crossover stories.
I also sent SGAmadison some of the phasers and communicators for McCay, as I had so many of them ;)
These are awesome! I take it the background is the correct one for Eleven (haven't gotten there yet, am closing in though!) I love how Four is so happy! :D
Yep, that's Eleven's TARDIS interior (well, the first one; he changed it between Amy & Rory and Clara, and not for the better, IMHO. And there's a really cute scene in Day of the Doctor in which Ten and Eleven are in Eleven's second version, and Ten says he doesn't like the redecoration :-D))
I'm ridiculously pleased about the Van Gogh, I have to admit--the image from the calendar fitting that little frame was just perfect!
I didn't realize you'd framed the pic yourself--even better! I also didn't realize the interior of the TARDIS changed more than the Doctors themselves did. We should be getting to the end of Ten's eps soon. I'm curious now to 'meet' Eleven!

It usually doesn't. The reason for this particular case was that they changed studios and couldn't keep the old one I believe. But on the plus side, there are set visits now! I only wish they would have those available when the Torchwood set was still standing... Man, I'd love to have visited THAT!
I'm happy that you are making your way through Doctor Who! You know that there were some specials between fourth and fifth season, right? Don't want you to miss anything. Well, if you have any questions, you alwayss know whom to ask.
For tangotabby: Do you know there are small van Gogh figures? I have two of them actually. One fits in size more with the Doctor Who figures, while the other is bigger and fits with the Stargate figures. And they come with easel and paintings and everything.
YAY! I wondered where you'd disappeared too! You have a birthday graphic gifty all timered and ready to go and I was wondering if you'd actually get to see it *hugs*
I've been "out of commission" for the past 4 months--training new people at work, and putting in lots of extra time, so I've been stressed and cranky and just not up for much on LJ, I'm afraid :-( But the new people are mostly trained, so my workload should be closer to normal now *crosses fingers* so I'm hoping to have a bit more time and energy to get back to LJ!
