venting ironic heavy topics

For the past few days, my roommate [distant girlfriend] has been vocally disgusted with my 'sickness' or more to the point, my failure to be well. What she speaks of is of course my allergies, which I would gladly give up should the opportunity arise. However I can't and the doctors' advice offers no charity. Dear Jonathan,
Only you can know what to do about the relationship!
As far as your allergies go, medications can only offer a little help. You must also change your diet. Believe it or not, most allergic reactions are due to the foods that you eat (also to environment elements). If you have constant stuffiness of the nose, then it would help you and possibly cure you if you ceased all dairy products: milk cheese ice cream yogurt etc... Some people also have allergies to wheat. Wheat is much more difficult to avoid. I would avoid dairy for one month and see if it works if I were you.
I hope this helps!
Love you lots,
Sharon

i'm sure this is a no-brainer but you have had allergy tests made in the last few years, right? if yes, are you sure you're being exposed to those items? doctors thought it was allergies for me for quite some time and turns out it isn't...

this sounds pretty bad and, sadly, i don't know much about your relationship but it sounds pretty tough. not that you can find the best advice on the internet, but did you ever look for people who are in her situation (or even yours) on the internet. there's probably a lot of support groups out there and i dunno if they'd help, but maybe just sharing your frustration with someone who can truly understand you would help.
