Thanks but no... I'm just throwing a little tantrum over the results of tonight's American Idol. :)

Melinda did. I thought she was by far the most talented singer throughout the whole competition. (And I don't think she was ever in the bottom three). I like Blake, but I'm just not crazy about Jordin. Anyway, I'm just really disappointed Melinda didn't make it to the final round because I thought she would be the next American Idol. Blah...

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN.

Melinda totally deserved to win. It doesn't really matter who wins now. I can't believe Blake made it this far. Thanks for nothing, stupid teenybopper girl voters. >_

I really do think she didn't make it through because she's older and has a more mature sound. It's unfortunate, but it really IS the teeny bopper girls who stay up all night dialing to vote over and over again... Still, I prefer Blake over Jordin. He's quite unique and Jordin bores me.

It probably won't make you feel better, but on the bright side, being a mere American Idol finalist instead of winner doesn't seem to have hurt the careers of previous contestants at all. I'm sure we'll be seeing her again soon, in a high profile project.

No, you're absolutely right. I mean Clay Aiken and Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson have all done pretty well. And I know there will be record companies eager to snatch up Melinda. I guess I just feel like the AI system is flawed somehow. It really isn't a singing contest at all - it's a popularity contest.

Yeah, Jennifer Hudson has said peering over at her Golden Globe and Oscar is very soothing.

And yes...I notice the a "cute" person seem to last longer than a non-cute person...whether or not they're talented.
