Gah! Our town council is ridiculous! They're petitioning government to allow them to build in a flood zone. Their reasoning, there's already buildings there, duh. IT'S A FLOOD ZONE IDIOT! Do you know what flood zone means? I bet the people from (shit where was that, the river overflowed and froze up around people's houses a few years back). Just ( Read more... )

I think the town you're thinking of is Badger; though didn't something similar happen in Stephenville recently?

Things didn't freeze in Stephenville, I don't think. But it did flood pretty badly.

I totally agree with your sentiment. It is foolish. Fuck, I wouldn't build a shed in Placentia, let alone a multi-million dollar high school.
