Today I worked on Mr. Mason's house. He fed us 4-ft po'boys for lunch - 3 kinds: shrimp, oyster, and sausage. My first po' boy - delicious. We built and replaced beams, removed siding, and wandered the neighborhood taking pictures. I especially liked the juxtaposition of the burned out SUV in front of the shiny new elementary school

You're in New Orleans! That would explain some things. I'm glad you're having such a good time - if you like it enough, come down and visit me while I'm there! (I'll be there in the summer...)

Cool, cool, cool. We're leaving May 19 to work with HONL. Please, give details as you are able.

I'm also supposed to plan a "sidetrip" for us on our non-working day (a Sunday). Bayou Sauvage wildlife refuge is not too far, and there are tons of things in the city itself. Would you post on what's good to see while we're there?
