There are two Tanith Lee books on the list. Both Daw books. Drinking Sapphire Wine is the sequel to Don't Bite the Sun but most newer editions just publish both books together since it's one storyline anyhow. The cover is cool though.

I just finished reading this book and with all Tanith Lee books I enjoyed it immensely. Only I'm confused by Vazkor spending most of his time playing the holy man and political manipulator. It seems like she wrote him to be as disdainful of the political process as his mother, yet he tends to go all out to turn things his way. Is she trying to ( Read more... )

I'm selling Tanith Lee books on Ebay.

Most of you probably have the books, but there's also the F & SF magazine with her short story (novella actually) "All the Birds of Hell."

Currently available in Weird Tales, "Arthur's Lion" is one of Lee's tales of the quiet supernatural. Imagine a Twilight Zone episode without the angst. The first person narrative an antiquated feel--could have happened in the 30s or 40s, and the climax is rather gentle. In the end, it's meditation about aging and fear. It's warm and folksy.
