Saw Synecdoche, New York last night. It was amazing. I will have to watch it about twelve more times for it to sink in though. Kaufman is incredible and has renewed my faith in the film industry.
Yes, and I want to say this is his directorial debut. He has written some amazing screenplays, but never directed before now. It's great. If (and when, I hope) you see it, be prepared that it is incredibly slow at first. We all watched quite a ways into it kind of scratching our heads, and then, as Kaufman does, out of nowhere things got crazy. It's also one that would need to be watched a few times before a person can get a grasp on it, like say "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". Perhaps I am just slow!
I've been looking for something new to watch when I need a break from school or trying to figure out what to get rid of and what I can take with me when I move.

Oh, I didn't realize that Kaufman had a new one out. I like seeing what he comes up with.
