Tank-Boy's Tank Book

A couple of years ago, I saw TaNK magazine for the first time. compact enough to fit in a lady's handbag, TaNK is one of the hippest magazines of its kind although it looks very simple and the concept is very basic, part of it being without advertisement. TaNK covers fashion, design and photojournalism and it's a great pleasure just to touch and ( Read more... )

Thank you Beni, that's fabulous! I'm going to look into getting myself a copy of TaNK Magazine or maybe even the book. Do you know off hand if it's available on this side of the atlantic?

I've missed your posts. Nice to see you back!

Hey Jennifer!! I'm just too busy, but I still try to follow the changes in your webpages :) About the book: There's a contact phone number here and I saw it in UK branch of amazon. The details: TANK BOOK, edited by Mahsoud Golsorkhi and Andreas Laeufer. Thames & Hudson, 2002, ISBN 0500283664. Tell me, if you have problems getting it there.

AH! thank you so much Beni! I know what you mean about busy... You've been on my friends list for a while now so you know I had trouble getting clients in the beginning; now I have so many people calling me that I'm finding it hard to keep up with the generated email alone!

Thanks for the information. I'll certainly look into it. On another note, I recently picked up a copy of a design magazine out of the UK called Creative Review. This issue has a flourescent orange cover and an excellent article on speaking without words. It's been a great intro to Semiotics for my students! Now they are hungry for more! I would recommend at least that issue. I'm going to see if I can get ahold of more copies in the next while.

Also, I want to start subscribing to more european design and media related magazines. Can you recommend any?

Mille grazie Beni!
baci e abbraci!

indeed... it's exactly that picture he copied, not even mirrored... on the one hand, he left details that are very characteristic for Tank-Girl as they were, but had enough time for breast-enlarging. :)
