You may think this is typical for Switzerland, but it happened near Hannover, Germany. A cow entered a bank, bypassed security and inspected some offices to get a picture of the banking system, then turned around and left the building. Everything caught by surveillance cameras. it was the wedding of a farmer and allegedly someone wanted to surprise the couple with that cow...

allegedly, it happened in the Sparkasse of Wunstorf (Germany). The news is from dpa and reprinted in many papers.

we have no speakers and not even a soundcard installed in our computers (actually, the onboard soundcard is disabled). I have stereo set in my office. Sometimes I need to listen.

there are some clients automatically posting the current music in your .mp3 Player. And yes, I once read of a software listening to the music in the background, identifying it and posting it as 'current music'. But I have no idea where to find it. Some time ago, Radio DRS was measuring listening-behaviour of their audience using a wristwatch they gave to 1000 people. It was recording sound bits of the background and storing it. Using the stored data, they could automatically (using the sound bits in combination with an exact timestamp) identify the radio or tv program people were listening to at a given time.

Oh no, Pat! these are the more common species of cows in Switzerland. There are so many of them. this is an excellent database of all species worldwide.

but first of all: even cows of the same species are very individual. We Swiss know each cow by her first name!! har har... The one above is 'Lovely', and she's the most famous individual of the Holstein species [great milk commercials]. ;)
