Being too busy otherwise, I haven't noticed that some of my files and pictures that are hosted on various servers, are inaccessible. The pictures in my livejournal are also affected by that... I'm trying to figure out the problem until tonight. Have a nice day everyone!!

oh thank you, Jennifer! Though I will not use it for myself but maybe recommend it to other people. I like to have full control of my data and I'm still using FTP in the old-fashioned command-line style :)

However, in addition to a local provider, I also chose Yahoo! webhosting for two of my domains, but it's slow, they accept only certain file types and some functions work only with IE. But they are the only hosting service offering a web-based file manager that works with the firewall, proxy and security policy I have at work (I have no FTP, almost all ports closed and only very restricted http).

Sounds like you're pretty locked up! One of the things I'm really enjoying about flickr is that you can tag sections of your photos so that on rollover, you'll see a note about the person, place or thing. I don't have a digital camera yet (can you believe that?) but when I do, I'll be using the site more often.
