(no subject)

I just finished watching "The Departed" which is an excellent movie. I was thinking about some stuff to do with movies and such, and so I ask you some questions. It's quite a touchy subject though. Well. It could be.

What would make you feel worse, an actual person who you barely know (maybe have only met for an hour or so) or your favourite T.V. show character dying?

Or book character?

Would you feel more connected with the book or T.V. show character? If it's a long book or T.V. series, you would have "known" that person for much longer than the person in real life.

But, that character is still just a character.

Once somebody dies, they are gone forever. But same with a T.V. show character. All you get to see of them is re-runs.

Is it maybe that you have more hope of the T.V. or book character coming back? There could be a new series, or you could get to see more of them in "flashbacks".

Anyways, I was just throwing that out there. It makes me think, stuff like that.

What really makes a person in real life different from a T.V. show character?
