My best friend during junior year of high school, Jason Meyer, had just moved to California from Nebraska. He was the first to introduce me to both Pearl Jam and Nirvana, and I think he knew about them before most. He tried to get me to go to church group. He liked cows. A lot. His little brother, a freshman at the time, wore a trenchcoat and listened to Jane's Addiction. We tried to smoke banana peels together once. Jason and Joel went out with the Loniewski sisters, Faye and Dawn, who were also a freshman and junior, respectively. I spent some time kissing both Faye and Dawn.

And that's what I know about Nebraska.

The 23rd the the Pinkeye/Montecore/Sex Funeral/? show at Tokyo Garden. I don't know if there's a Crossroads show planned, but there is one tomorrow and I think Sex Funeral is playing with Needy Eevy and It'll Grow Back. We'll probably be there after practice.
