DmC vs FFXIV | Petition to Overturn, Please.
...I know I was on to something after watching the trailers of both the new DmC and FFXIV.
And guess what?
Both their main protagonists are ALIKE.
Don't believe me?
Watch my analytical skillz keel and dissect them:
I had half a naggin' feeling that both Squenix and Ninja Theory/Capcom are *still* sharing the same bed (and what strange bedfellows they make --- don't get me started on DMC4's Gloria and FFX-2's LeBlanc character design),
and if this FB group has anything to go by:

....a genius in there found the relationship between the director for the new DmC and the new Dante ---> they both ALSO look alike, and frankly speaking, the real life person isn't pretty to begin with.
So right now, I'm sick of seeing the dude's face, I'm sick of saying he's f-ugly (the released CG renders can speak for themselves), and I'm fed-up of people saying STOP saying he's f-ugly and that once you see him 2nd/3rd/infinite more times, you'll get to accept him and I'm fed-up of people saying he's more human now (which defeats the purpose of the game in the first place =__=) and I am UTTERLY FED UP of people telling other people, "Dude, you play DMC for good-looking people only? What about the gameplay?"
NO MEANS NO.
Gameplay? I've got Bayonetta that can out-trash DMC4 any given day (and including the new DmC)
Good looking people? If they got crap storyline like FF13 and crap system like FF13, even with pretty-fied-Cloud-masquerading-as-Lightning cannot get me going (and of all things, WHY recycle Cloud into a female!?)
From the VERY BEGINNING, I started playing Devil May Cry because of two things -
Character Design/Personality, and Storyline.
I DON'T SIMPLY PICK UP A GAME BECAUSE OF PRETTY BOYS AND COOL GAMING SYSTEM KAY
Every Tom, Dick, Harry and FF-impersonation games out there already have this.
My personal habit of a casual gamer but die-hard fan:
If I get a good character design but lousy personality, I'll ditch the game halfway.
If I get lousy character design but really wholesome personality, I'll still play for I'm more keen for how the character can carry the story.
Now, add one more ingredient:
If I get good storyline, good character design but lousy personality, I might still play just to get it done and over with.
If I get lousy storyline, good character design but lousy personality, chances are, I'll play it just to get it done and over with.
If I get good storyline but lousy character design and lousy personality, I might be put off enough times to quit the game halfway.
IF I get lousy storyline, lousy character design and lousy personality - I'll not only ditch it, I'll tell everybody not to play it --- which is going to be the case happenin' for the new DmC.

At any rate, I'm having a bit of hope here when the FB group listed a petition to get 1 MILLION signings to overturn Ninja Theory's decision to remake DmC.

I got to agree with them - they CAN make the new game with the new guy and monsters and environment but NOT other the name of DMC. Make it something else, I dunno, Angels May Laugh, Devil May Have His Field Day, OR SOMETHING ELSE, BUT not take the name of Devil May Cry.
'Coz to me, as a diehard fan/veteran gamer of the series,
DMC = Dante = Sparda lineage = Demon = Demon-slaying = "Instil enough fear to make the Devil himself cry" atmosphere = Gothic action/horror gameplay = COOL STYLISH ACTION!!!
So if you're like me @ wanting to see the original DMC series untarnished by a lousy remake, please sign the petition, and pass it around.
I believe Ninja Theory can do better than this, coz,
while you may get a new tide of gamers to the new game,
you may have more than a million angry fangirls/fanboys (including yours truly) after your ass too ;)
So....here's to hoping that SOMEONE SANE ENOUGH INSIDE THEIR DEPARTMENT has got the balls and guts to start the change. *fingers crossed

HIDEKI KAMIYA IS WILLING TO REMAKE DEVIL MAY CRY IF GIVEN THE CHANCE!!!

It's time we need the creator himself back to clean up the bleedin' mess left behind by his former employer Capcom. It goes to prove that Kamiya, given the chance, would not have abandon his beloved game and wanted, "to do what the fans wanted".
And so YES, Hideki sir, we REALLY need you to be back to save Dante and the DMC universe.
