I've been away for so long, I actually don't miss blogging on Lj.
But after the one bout of rage that decimated my uncle's prized bamboo plant to broken splinters by sheer rage (after having a long fucked up day in class + office), I felt that I have to let all this negativity go.
Before the rage/frustration further consumes me.
In brief:
1. My Bamboo pen is berserk, and is constantly on auto-paint mode @ even without pressing onto the surface, the pen goes crazy streaking on my screen. If it's on PS, it randomly paints everywhere; If it's on my desktop, it randomly selects everything in its path DDD;
It's driving my crazy, and I think I better get a new tablet by this weekend if I want to survive this term.
2. For the first time in so many years, I'm lagging behind others.
More on this later, in the next entry (I'll post the link here later)
3. I can still speedpaint with my mouse.
During the first mass-speedpainting session with the more gung-ho classpeeps (including Kami,Kowe, Alex and Talissa), it was loads of fun and a pretty new experience.
But If only my Bamboo was working properly.
For the 1.5 hour session, I was rapidly painting WITH MY MOUSE.
Sure, my finger bones protested at the abuse, and so it literally got me the shitz for the first piece:

deviantART Don't ask me where the zombie-saur came from. Amidst the crazy zig-zagging of a berserk Bamboo, the lines criss-crossed into something and...it was born. With shit in the horizon.
(the epic!queer keywords were set by the classpeeps)
But it does confirm something --- I can't paint zombies to save my life D;
45 minutes later, they started the 2nd round, and this time, the keywords were far much more easier.

deviantART This time, I got more comfortable painting with the mouse (like how I'd done it 8 years ago).
Custom brush was courtesy of the great ImagineFX team.
S'okay, at least I know I can colour fast,
but I've got the lineart timing to work with.
8 hours per piece is NOT ideal AT ALL.
The fastest + ideal time, had been 2-3 hours, according to A Lot of People.
Nad's (classmate same age as me) ideal solution, is to do bold lines first then erase them to get the shape of the stroke you want. Which she says, is somewhat less time-consuming, since she can easily finish up one lineart with that method in 2-3 hours.
Ima giving it a try.
4. Cecilia finally got married to Eugene.
Albeit without ceremony - they just signed the papers @ Wangsa Maju.
For reasons best known by herself.
For a lot more reasons lately, I refused to partake/be involved with personal matters with people, because I don't want to get pulled into any BIG trouble that may occur.
5. I've been listening to BOND lately.

Allegretto is nice, but I enjoyed Libertango, Explosive, Korobushka, and their epic [The 1812].
Anyway, that's basically what's rolling in the waters these past few days.
And now, all the batshit and whatnots in the next entry.
