Happy Junk Food Day!!

About...15 years ago, my cousins and I up in Alaska decided to make August 15th Junk Food Day, since this month has no national holidays (the only month to lack one!), and splurging on junk food for a whole day is a *wonderful* indulgence! Turns out there's a Junk Food Day of July 21st out there, but that's not what I grew up with, and August ( Read more... )

when i was little i thought the reason why august didn't have any holidays was to make room for my birthday!

it's august 21st, and obviously i'm as much a leo as i was when i thought the whole month revolved around me :D

Omigod, that's hilarious!! Out of all the signs, Leo is the bestest for thinking a whole month is dedicated to you! lol

Ooh! Maybe today should be Danni Day! You are a Peaceofpie and all, so to fit in with indulgences and your Leonine tendencies towards self-aggrandizing, today is a day where everyone you know indulges in as much Danni as possible, whatever that might be! Reading your past blogs, writing poetry about you, giving you lots of hugs, feeding you peeled grapes, making you orgasm 5 times in a row, the list goes on! :oD You could do it on your birthday, but this way, you get two days to celebrate yourself instead of combining them into one!

hehehehe. when vi and i were together, zir birthday was the day before mine, and we did combine our birthdays, so we both got two instead of each getting one.

i basically celebrate my birthday for two weeks before and two weeks after anyway, plus i celebrate my half-birthday, and sometimes in the middle of october i do a moon day (my moon sign is scorpio), and now that i've started testosterone i have ANOTHER day to celebrate! i never run out of reasons to celebrate. :D

I've been celebrating that all day today, and didn't even realize it! (No, seriously--I skipped dinner at my choice of McDux or Subway in favor of saving money, and instead had two cupcakes from a vending machine...and had a lot more of that earlier, from the same vending machine as well as others. Scary!)

Happy Coronary to all! :)

[It's actually Natalis Dianae today as well...but only in certain religions!]
