It's not just the South, the recent hoo haw in Michigan is pretty darned disturbing.
But, dollars to dimes, the South somehow manages to re-assert her Majesty whenever issues of personal liberation present themselves.
As much as I hate to admit it, I think H.L. Mencken's classic essay, "Sahara of the Bozart," is just as applicable today as the day it was first written.
They may like their guns in Ole Dixie, but it's far from enough to make up for their idiocy when it comes to every social issue on the map.
Btw, you're preachin' to the choir when it comes to PFAW here.
i HATE ALABAMA, i work for a call center and only 3 times have i heard a racist comment over the phone at work all the time it was a customer living in alabama, and 3 different customers.
