Sorta getting things done

Well, the house has been "cleaned" but the walls won't give up soot prints. Now its on to painting the entire house - and the heater company has to pay for it. They were told by ServPro it may come to that in most of the house but I think this is going to send the furnace company owners over the edge ( Read more... )

My mom used to always start renovating when Doug was at sea (Navy) every time he came home something else was done to the place... the bathroom retiled... rooms repainted... but I think you're taking the cake, here, with all the work you are doing... That's awesome about the car... good luck with that and best wishes with the settlement :/ It sucks all around that you've had to deal with all this crap!

Its almost funny: when a husband is deployed the bills get paid off, every bit of work that needed to be done in the last couple of years gets done, and then the guys come home and don't notice :P

I'm not telling *everything* I'm doing to the house - there are a few things I want as a surprise for John.

I love painting, actually. I even have paintin' clothes! :-D

And yeah.. tall walls don't bother me!

When I get the settlement from the furnace company.

I don't imagine that will be longer than about 3 weeks (see journal entry for that).

Besides - I still haven't figured out all the colors yet and I need to show you the furniture for the 'grand' room - and chose flooring.
Flooring first! (or the color anyway)
