For cryin out loud ~ I've been trying to get rid of some really good furniture. Couldn't sell it so tried the donations for the blind. They didn't get that they needed to come to the house, not the end of the lane to get it. Then I called the battered women's shelter to meet with them having my truck loaded with custom made chairs, crystal lamps

The thrift shop over here on Vashon would take most of it, I think the only things that would be iffy are the exercise equipment and *maybe* the computer stuff.
Now that my kids are all grown to a decent age (and only one is living at home currently), I'm trying to pick up some nicer furniture when I can, to replace the ratty things that were only kept because the kids would have trashed new ones. On my budget, though, that means looking for free stuff and then trying to find a way to actually transport it.
