What is this? ...is this the second post from me in ONE DAY!? Holy smokes, am I getting to LIKE Livejournal? The world surely must be ending
( Read more... )
Thank god LJ doesn't have a "like" button. I mean, this way we are forced to express ourselves in more sophisticated ways ;) (I do kinda feel like I was more eloquent and smarter when I used to LJ a lot more!)
Um... sorry for butting in, but I just saw your comment and had a thought and...
So true! I know tumlbr seems to have become the new big thing, I have a friend who used to use lj who now uses tumblr, but I'm sorry, tumblr just does not have the same qualities that lj does. It's much more image based, and it's not for writing big huge entries, or fic. Which is exactly why I love lj. I think it's a lot easier to really get to know someone here.
Of course you like LiveJournal! There is this icon floating around that I remember from back in the day when I was on LJ a lot (thought I never personally used it) - it reads "LJ. It's cheaper than therapy." ;) Ok, bad joke? I'm kind of making fun of myself here, though, because god knows LJ has been my therapy way back... and now it is that once again.
ANYWAY.
I am reading the mindfulness book by Jon Kabat Zinn (in fact I started considering it before things even got that bad for me) and I remember reading the bit about emotions and how they are NOT US. However, it's easier said than done... but I am hoping for myself, and for you, too, that we can both set out on a path of recognizing our emotions and accepting them and not letting them take over too much (because that happens to me a bit.. or a lot).
Sending you a hug! And I'll get back to you (with a message) soon.
Also, the story about the vibrating condoms is priceless. :D
