Practice Thread for Tsubame - Welcome gure~!
Date: Saturday, May 31st, 1879
Time: Late Morning
Place: Kamiya Dojo, a.k.a. The Center of the 'Gumi Universe
Characters: Kaoru and Tsubame
Rating: G because it IS with Tsubame-chan!
Kenshin said that he would be back shortly, but that was several hours ago! I shake my head as I angrily do HIS chores for today--namely scrubbing the floor of the dojo. Just wait until that husband of mine comes back and says he's home. I got a right fist that is waiting to greet him!
I might look angry on the outside, but deep down inside it's natural for me to worry a little. Some of the men working for the police might still be ignorant and give Kenshin trouble for the sword that he carries with him. Sometimes I wish Kenshin would leave behind his sakabatou for once, but I also understand the reasoning behind why he still carries it.
I stop to catch my breath, and also to wet the rag that I am using. As I wring out the excess water, it would be nice if Yahiko was here also to help. Although he would probably bicker more and call me "the ugliest girl in Tokyo" over and over again rather than help out. Sanosuke would just fall asleep outside, that lazy freeloading bum! Megumi-san would tease me about doing sweaty labor... even Tae-san would notice and make a comment about it.
That leaves Tsubame-chan. She is such a sweet girl, that I almost wish that she was here to keep me company while I wait for Kenshin to come back home here.
