hey, wasn't sure where to mention this... but I'm going to forward this to the Queer Team over on Etsy. The team shop's donations are going to the Trevor Project right now, and in the future they'll be supporting other LGBTQ~ organizations in need of support as well. So hopefully you'll get some input/submissions from them. :)

will do dear. :)

I just wanted to let you know it was coming. I'm sure they'll probably post it up to their facebook as well (I'm still an honorary member - they wouldn't let me quit lol), which has quite a lot of fans. :)

I was bullied very badly from first grade up until high school graduation. But I don't know what to say to these kids, since I'm a straight, married cis housewife living in suburbia. I suppose I could talk about our neighborhood, where we have four gay couples and formerly had a lesbian couple (they had a kid and moved away due to the school district) and none of it is a big deal.

IDK. I'd love to contribute, but I'm afraid I'd come across as straight/cissplaining.

Give us what you have, and we will review all submissions for clarity and if what you send does come across as straight/cissplaining, we'll tell you, with love and a red pen of course ;)

Please, don't hesitate to share your stories, since these poor kids need to know they have straight allies as well.

Maybe I'll write from the POV of a straight person who was bullied and grew up, and now lives in a place where no one cares if you're straight, gay, whatever. Just so your lawn looks nice and your house doesn't need to be painted! ;)
