Ha ha ha ha! Outside on an asbestos pad! Deep frying scares me too. It's good stuff though...I have a student from Seoul and I just hooked him on fried dough.

I found another fried dough purveyor last night that had FIVE kinds of fried dough, including one which was a dead ringer for Navajo Fry Bread! It was a thrilling moment when I realized I had confirmation of my theory that both Hong Kong fried dough and Navajo Fry Bread have a common ancestor! The last two mornings there have been people doing a dance that looks suspiciously like country-western line dancing outside my hotel in the park. Yet another proof of ancient cultural connections between the American Southwest and China????
