I used to think I thought in words, but trying to memorize vocabulary for spanish I realized that the words are just shortcuts to the images. Besides not speaking it regularly I think that spanish didn't really click with me because I was connecting a spanish word to an english word to a mental image. It looks like I'm going to be spending Thanksgiving by myself. I'm really not upset about it, I just don't feel like sitting in a car for 18 hours. Peace corps. emailed me and told me that my invitation package was in the mail. It will have my detailed assignment, placement, and leave date.

I'm heading back to Mississippi again. I decided that I'd rather be with my friends and family doing manual labor and learning spanish before I leave with Peace Corps. in Jan/Feb.
