TAOBEI 2017 : PROMPTING POST!
it's finally time to get this year's round started! below is everything you need to know to participate in this year's prompting round. get your ideas ready!
WHAT IS PROMPTING?
HOW TO DO IT?
prompting is when you offer up a prompt for a fanfic that you'd like to have written by someone else. you don't have to be a writer to give a prompt. anyone can do it, no strings attached!
in a fic fest, such as this, fanfic writers will look at the compiled prompts (revealed when claiming begins) and pick a prompt that they want to write. there's no guarantee yours will be picked, so feel free to leave a lot of different prompts to give writers a lot of ideas to choose from! everyone can leave as many prompts as they please. the more, the merrier!
all you have to do to leave a prompt is click on the "PROMPT FORM" link below.
it will take you to a google form that you can fill out multiple times.
one filled form = one prompt.
please don't put multiple prompts in one form.
if you want to give another prompt after submitting one, just refresh the page and fill out the form again.
RULES:
- again, one filled form = one prompt. to submit multiple prompts, just refresh the form and fill it out as many times as needed. prompt as many times as you like. anonymous prompting is allowed.
- please note any potential triggers in your prompts. all prompts containing sensitive subjects will be screened and placed into a separate TW spreadsheet.
- make sure your prompt isn't too restricting or specific. give the writer a concise, basic idea of what you want to read, but give them room to use their imagination and make the story their own. you may also submit links to images/songs/gifs/etc for prompting inspiration!
- remember that you don't have to prompt to claim, and that you don't have to claim to prompt.
ICYMI:
- this is a fic fest / prompt meme for tao. as such, you may only prompt or write tao pairings. you can prompt any pairing as long as tao is the main focus! this includes: tao/exo, tao/crossovers, tao/ex-members, tao/OT3+, tao-centric, and tao/tao.
- however, tao/oc prompts will not be accepted.
- all gender identities and sexual orientations (or lack thereof) are accepted and welcomed. (◠‿◠✿)

december 17: claiming / self-prompting opens
january 7: claiming / self-prompting closes
february 12: check-in #1 (500w)
march 12: check-in #2 (1500w)
april 12: final submissions
april 22: postings begin
