Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?

The banana pepper plants seem to be doing nicely, as are the cilantro, lemon balm, thyme and oregano. Yesterday, I planted some pumpkin seeds in hopes of cultivating a sincere pumpkin patch worthy of a visit from the Great Pumpkin (however, I'm not holding my breath yet), as well as a devil's paintbrush that I found growing on the lawn ( Read more... )

Aww! We can swap photos- my fiance has a nice little porch herb garden growing, and he's declared that he's feeling very gardeny lately.

Oh, and for bigger pumpkins/gourds, you can gently thread a cotton string through the vine close to the wee gourd, and put the other end of the thread in a jar of sugar water. (Double check me though, I don't have the book that I read this in.)

all i do is mulch. gotta love yard work.
