Maybe I'm "not ready for the revolution", but I don't like any of this. First of all, I don't find remotes comfortable. Second, I don't want to have to swing the thing around. It may work well on Nintendo games (the way they showed Mario would be theoretically controlled was stupid, though) but is EA going to bother porting, say, SSX over to a system where a whole new control scheme will be needed? I don't think so.
- I'm buying the Rev for the nintendo games, which will no doubt fully utilize the controller's functions.
- I couldn't give a shit about EA and the games they want to port over
- Any third party games I'll be picking up on the PS3 or X360 anyway.
- IGN said the controller was very comfortable (though it doesn't look like it would be whatsoever)
I do agree though, this could be a MAJOR flop and really hurt nintendo. However, I'm going to be optimistic and hope for the best, because it is a cool idea and has potential.
Well, I agree on buying third part games for another system anyway, but isn't that one of the things that hurt the Gamecube and Nintendo 64? Lack of third party games?
Maybe I just can't wrap my head around playing a Mario game where I have to hop the controller every time I want him to jump.
