How risky should we live our lives? Should we see an opportunity and just jump on it or should we carefully weigh all the different choices and decide from there. Are we allowed to tell God a scenario that needs to happen in order to have us do something? The story of Rebekah is a great example;  she had to offer the servant water and his donkeys

Right on my brother. I am quite convinced that we can tell God that he has to prove to us that it is his will. I don't think he looks down on that at all.
If anything he see's someone who truly wants to do his best for him and doesn't want to do it wrong.
Wet fleece dry fleece, anyone?

But also, if we are living in the Spirit then we will know God's will.
