New Music

I heard a couple of bands at Convergence who knocked my stockings off (Bella Morte and Combichrist). Everyone there seemed to know who they were, but I had no clue. I used to get this info from my ex-husband, but he doesn't keep up much anymore so he can't really clue me in on things I'd like to listen to. How do *you* find out about interesting

MySpace - I check out bands that I already know I like, then I look at their top 8 friends (usually bands) as a referral.

I LOVE THEM! I downloaded the two songs that I could, and listened to the other two. Thanks for the head's up! Will try your trick of the friend-of feature. Do I have to join My Space to troll bands' pages? You know how much I detest the idea of joining yet something else I can't keep up with. As it is, email and LJ have turned into more of an obligation than a fun activity most days. :( Hopefully when I get the new Palm (or *maybe* this one) in a couple of weeks I can hit LJ more often.

You should be able to troll away through music pages without joining. Hit up the profiles of people you know & check their "friends" & you'll find a ton of bands that way too.
