the basic premise i picked up from that article is that deval patrick and obama are similar because they are both black? what did you pick up as the basic premise? maybe i am missing something

i'd also like to add that it is important to look at policies of political candidates instead of focusing on trivial issues such as their personal spending habits.

My problem with the article is that although they did mention the similarities between the messages of hope, I felt as if they never would have written if one of them was white, they mentioned their skin color two or three times which is unnecessary. But that could just be me being pessimistic about the article.

I watched the debate the other night, and the entire democratic debate was pretty poor. I more or less wrote Clinton off, and Obama was the most composed & confident, and didn't think that the debate existed solely to pick one-another apart.

My thoughts? We've had the experience and it blew up in our faces, for eight years, so in reality, maybe going with change would be for the best. And the article is not credible (in my opinion for what it's worth, not much)
