I needed this week so badly.
Friday night I came home, went to Dan's house, and watched Bridge to Terabithia with him and his dad. We all cried. It was cute.
Saturday I went to Becky's basketball game, which was so exciting- they played so well and I forgot how much I love watching basketball. That night I babysat (aka did practically nothing and made lots of money).
Sunday I went to church in NH which is always lovely. I miss going there every week so much. Saturday night I babysat for a 2 yr old girl and a 7 yr old boy- friends of the family. The girl, Laura, is so cute. We played hide and seek and she told me where to hide every time before she went to count. She sometimes pretended not to know where I was when she came back in the room. omgsocute. Again, made a decent amount of money and did pretty much nothing.
Monday I got up at 4:30am and went in with my Dad to work. He's a middle school principal and he asked me to sub for the day, so I "taught" 7th grade math. Despite the fact that I was completely exhausted, it was actually kind of fun. The kids just worked on problems and I answered questions if they had them. It was weird to see my Dad at work- he's funny in how he interacts with people... it was interesting to watch. I got to work on my anatomy study guides all day as well, so that was good. It paid decently well too- it was nice to make money 3 days in a row, and more than I make when I'm at school usually. After that I went with Dan to work for a while. Again, interesting to see his interactions with everyone at the shop. I pretty much wanted to die that night- it was a loooong day.
Tuesday I got my haircut(pictures after most people see it in real life first) and am donating 10 inches(!) to Locks of Love. It was super scary but I'm happy how it turned out. Tuesday night Dan and I went out to dinner with Jess and her boyfriend George. It was awesome to catch up with them, dinner was delicious, and it was a good night.
Yesterday was Dan and my 3 year anniversary. The idea of that is still crazy to me. Three years is a very long time. I made and decorated cookies for him and stitched our initials into a blanket- small gifts, but it was a "look! I'm domesticated!" :) He got me (us) dance lessons- I can't wait- we're probably going to do them this summer. We spent a lot of time researching Disney details and a lot of time trying to fix my camera(ugh...) And other things. Awesome day :)
This morning I woke up and watched Fit TV and did an hour of yoga with free weights (2 or 3 lbs each)which was so nice. The yoga part stretched me out and woke me up and the weights made me feel like I was getting something out of it. I read the paper, which I have done every morning, and you all should read it today- a bunch of interesting/informative/completely bizarre articles (my personal favorite:
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/03/13/police_say_woman_sat_on_toilet_for_2_years/ ) I'm going to get a lot of school work done today and probably see Dan tonight. I'm babysitting again tomorrow night which will be good for my bank account, spending the day with Dan Saturday(are you sensing a pattern? we definitely needed this week), and going back to school on Sunday.
A few things for anyone who might actually still read this:
1. I am in desperate need of 1920s and 1970s clothing. Let me know if you have any, or ideas of where I can get some.
2. I am trying to plan a day to get some AB kids together who are either on spring break or in Boston. We are tentatively thinking Wednesday for lunch(12:30 or 12:45ish) close to northeastern(au bon pain?). I've talked to Gina, Beth and Peter(though not recently- are you still interested) and would love for anyone else who's around to join us. Let me know!
