[Today Luke starts his first day at Mayfield High! While this would seem like a pretty normal thing for any thirteen-year-old boy, Luke has never really been in a public school setting before. Especially not an American high school.

He is completely confused what he’s supposed to do and the class schedule in his hand looks a little like gibberish.

♪ BGM: Screaming Seagull

[Having been unsuccessful in any progress uptown, a girl in what looks like typical 1950s outdoor wear (sorry, can't really be bothered with the details right now) can be seen finding her way to the downtown area. She appears to be an older teenager, wearing a red hairband and makeshift ribbons on both sides of her hair, with a very long braid going down to her legs. A reference can be seen here.

She initially shows a mix of overwhelm and indifference. More places to look that probably won't help me... The girl sighs as she walks around. She comes to notice a younger teen playing with what seems to be a metal animal of some sort. ..It's not a cat but it does look cute. And with that, she walks over to him and asks:]

Hello, what is that thing with you?

[Luke looks up and smiles at the girl before petting Gizmo on the head.]

Hello miss! This here is Gizmo, he's a friend from back home! The Professor and I built him.

[She bends down, hands on knees, to get a closer look at Gizmo. After another moment, she'll look back at the boy, her smile fading.]
