[Ever since the whole zombie incident, Luke's been a lot quieter then normal for the past couple of weeks. Anyone who enters Luke's room will see why: a journal, along with a mess of notes are scattered across the desk in his room. Hi, miss Susan!

[This is probably the most cheerful he's been in a few weeks actually. By now, he's already traced an outline of what he wants to carve, and is carefully cutting a hole at the top to remove the insides of the pumpkin. Usually his dad would do this part, but since he wasn't here in Mayfield, Luke figures it can't be that hard.]

I'm carving some pumpkins for Halloween! I thought they'd look nice.

Well...yes, a lot of kids dress up and go trick or treating on Halloween. I imagine they'd have it in this town too.

[And he just tugs the lid of the pumpkin off once he's done carving the top of it, looking at all the gooey insides he has to scoop out. Oh yes, this will be the fun part.]

Judging by the outfit, I shouldn't be surprised. And yeah, I do live here actually! As for Mr. Nigma, um...I haven't seen him around much lately.

I've taken some readings at the edge of town where it loops, but they don't really show anything.

It does tell us that whatever they're using to cause that effect is very well shielded.

I suppose that's something. Still, it'd help us out a lot more if we could actually find whatever it is their using to make that loop.
