Incidentally, university gigs are awesome. If you're near a university, try getting on their payroll as office support staff. They'll offer better health care options (I hope), plus better vacation time and retirement plan. You might be taking a small pay cut, but you'll also get more job security. It's low-risk and easy as heck. If you're just in it for the health benefits, I think it's the way to go.
