While mixing the dye I realized that I couldn't get the color any lighter without using an entire bottle of conditioner.

well, having never dyed my hair i can't speak from experience, but if you dye it, when it washes out or fades, dont you either have to keep up the color, dye it another color, or dye it a darker color to keep it from looking dingy or like a dull version of its original lighter color? like if i dyed it purple, once it washed out, wouldn't it look like a horrible red/blonde/gray mess when it all washed out? haha, i think i'd have to just shave my head and start all over if i wanted to be red again

Yeah, I get what you are saying. You would have to wait for it to grow out. That isn't a problem with me though, I haven't seen my natural color in years.

I love it! And it will fade to that pale pink you wanted soon enough.

I've been trying to spike mine up, but it's not cooperating. I'm starting to think maybe I should go shorter?

I have been scrubbing the crap out of it when I shower and it has definitely lightened up a bit.

Yeah the blonde wasn't working for me. I had it in a platinum pixie cut when I was 18 and it looked good but it was summer then and i was really tan.
