Your work is getting more and more beautiful. Too bad this is so small. It is quite wonderful.

Thank you!

I would have liked to have done it larger - alas, the assignment had a size restriction. Now that it's done though, I suppose there is nothing stopping me from redoing it in a larger format...

I love the 'mechanics' of it all -- guess I'm basically a 'machine person' :) -- nice texture too...looks like rough grain w/c paper

seems like you're cutting your mats with an x-acto or mat knife -- one of my best tools is a (relatively) good mat cutter -- Blick's got one for around a hundred bucks

Thanks Ed, I think it comes from being a mechanics daughter!

There isn't actually a mat... It's just a piece of orange(ish) car stock. The white lines that probably led you to believe I suck at matting are lines that I drew in, and they were purposely extended past eachother to have the 'cross over' look.

It'll likely have a black mat at some point - depending on what sort of mark I get from my prof. I tend to get bitter if I don't do well on things ;)

well, damn, ya sure fooled me :)

black mat might be too dark -- just my asshole opinion -- maybe something more neutral (well I guess black in pretty neutral) but I was thinking some kind of grey -- but ya know, the orange does work quite well...

thank you very much!

Remember how I always used to bitch and moan about the Museum of Science and Tech and how I hated that they stored their engines outside? well, apparently sometimes it pays off.

But don't think this is the end of my bitching and moaning. Fuckers.

You know, I wouldn't have to bitch and moan if people just took care of what they had. IE: Don't leave the shit outside... Man.

I remember the pictures from Richmond. I lost weeks of sleep over them. I mean, I understand if you don't have enough money in your institution for fully implemented conservation programs --- but that doesn't mean that you don't have to sweep now and then.

Thanks a lot Lisa... Look what you've done. I'm all in a tizzy now.

I don't know when you get back from BC. Let me know. Supper would be better than lunch. Not Whispers - their milk poisoned me last time I was there and their nachos are completely disgusting.
