I'm thinkin'...sirndipitiFebruary 22 2006, 05:39:05 UTC
trying to think of the French artist who did these type of expressive line drawings -- went and looked in my sketchbooks (where I usually jot down this kind of trivia) asked Wendy (who 'knows everything' :) and still can't come up with a name :(
anyway...I know what you mean about having a vision and not being able to get it to fruition -- sigh -- having trouble with this new print myowndamnself -- not working out as I envisioned it either
I don't think I know the artist you mean... But if you come across the name - do share!!
In a matter of a couple of days it's not going to look like that anymore *L* I haven't entirely decided how I'm going to go about finishing it - I think it's going to be thinned down oils. But I can't be too sure.
You know, I think that's the problem with showing WiP pics! Not only do *you* see that what you had envisioned isn't working out, but you also show people the way you work, and now have to be accountable for the mistakes and all the 'trial and error' bits.
But maybe that's a good thing. I guess we'll see, eh?
guess we'll see...sirndipitiFebruary 22 2006, 14:12:00 UTC
..or not ;) that's one of the good things about the web mostly, people forget what you've been up to so if you don't want to show a 'completed' work, you don't have to or you can claim the dog (or moose) ate it
but I think I can envision your project with a 'glazed' or thinned oil finish
