[ To be honest with you, I didn't know much about Sarah actually. I had heard of her from solo class for music. But all in all this is a game and some people, I'm starting to notice, seem to become entangled in it and part of it becomes them. I came here because one of my friends is here, and as for portraying Sarah properly...I'm probably not, but it's funny that I have become a fan of hers through this. But really I wouldn't take it to heart, if someone's going to get all annoyed by who you added first, well then that's a bit petty to me. I didn't add Josh Groban first, but he was one of the few who I did happen to add first. I didn't even add my friend until probably a week or so after I had been Sarah. LOL But it's all in good fun, harmless supposedly. But do stay around. ]
[I'm not entangled in this game, and I'd rather you didn't presume to know anything about me. I had a rational, polite conversation with Tara's player, during which she became rather hysterical and overexcited and called me a number of names. We all know it's a game, but I do believe that when a lot of your RL person is based around a certain character - in this case, Duncan - you should at least know that there is a relationship there, even if you are not planning to acknowledge it for whatever reason, and speak to the person involved. Adding people 'at random' and not adding the person mentioned in every single interview one has done seems a little odd to me. Thanks for reading.]
[ Yes, that's true, then again I've really had to do some looking on my character to find out about her. I was actually waiting to be attacked...I thought I was going to have to become a bitch. LOL Only thing is I just don't feel up to being catty most of the time. LOL ]
[I understand that. But it's easy to find information on Tara, and most of the information will mention Duncan and the fact he's her best friend. I cannot force someone to play with me, but them not knowing about the character's relationship shows laziness to me, because most stuff will contain information about that.]]
[ He has a point. To be fair to people who are around, you should have some idea of who is who and how they're relevant to you. A nice trick is a google search to see if your characters have ever had some sort of mutual past (It's as simple as googling your names/bands/shows/etc together).
You can't really compare storylines that have evolved, to the established relationships that you can then build storylines on. Your character had walked into an ideal situation. Her best friend is already here and established. You should've been milking that for all it's worth.
Yeah it is just a game but I know I would be (and have been) a bit miffed if someone close to my character showed up and acted as if they weren't close. None of "us" are original characters. People will see the journal and know basic facts about the character you're playing, so you should be two steps ahead and know just that little bit more.
[ You shouldn't listen to any of the above. ( Minus Sarah. ) It is your character, and you are allowed to play her however you want, despite other opinions. Don't leave. Portray her however you wish, it's your journal. ]

It's a shame you got so upset about it. ]
