I remember this, but not that well. Mostly I remember seeing it again at a con in '85 - the segment just following your first linked clip ("Put him under pressure"), where they have him in a tank with a series of barrels that (are rigged by the FX crew to) implode and crumple at a certain simulated depth. They take him all the way down to crush depth on the last barrel and he just floats there with a "bored now" look.

I loved this show so much! ♥ ♥ ♥ I desperately wanted Mark find out more about his background and I remember that even back then I thought I would have enjoyed it even more if the evil scientist had been younger and better looking, although I had no idea why I would think such a thing. Ahahah! He was so obsessed with Mark!! Elizabeth was great and I liked the dynamic between her an Mark a lot, but for me it was always about Mark. In retrospect I suspect that it had something to do with Mark being wet and half naked in every episode. /o\
