Damn, I guess this means I need to get back into reading book 3 again, huh?

(If it's on HBO, that means they can keep it dirty and wrong, right?)

LOL! I have book three on the shelf. The series is *excellent*, but it is pretty dark in the first two books. Of course, this is the big set up for the rest, and it makes plenty of sense from a plot standpoint, but I took a break from them because I got involved with the characters and it was pretty heartbreaking to see such pain and turmoil. I have no doubt at all it will unfold amazingly though - the universe is deep and interesting and fresh, and there are so many glimmers of awesome stuff to come (especially the dragons returning magic to the world - and probably to the youngest Stark boy). Cool stuff.

And, God, I hope we get all the blood and betrayal and wores and incest! The best bit of news is GRRM is going to be one of the screenwriters, so we know it won;t go too far afield from his vision.

I KNOW!!! I'm SOOOOO EXCITED!!! Now I've just officially run out of excuses for NOT having HBO. LOL I saw this on his blog earlier today and nearly, well, yeah, let's just say I was happy. ;)

Did you see that GRRM is going to be one of the screenwriters? And hey, on HBO< we'll get all the adult-i-ness it needs! :D
