Wow, it's been a really rotten day so far, despite feeling better than I have in about a month. OMFG. Carrot cake is my absolute favorite. I especially love it when it's been re-warmed and the frosting melts into it, and the cake just soaks it up like a sponge. To hell with chocolate when there's food that orgasmic in the world!

Speaking of this very thing, actually, I just bought some snack-sized carrot cakes that are Weight Watcher approved. (1 pt each. I have no idea what that means, but it sounded healthier than the Oatmeal Cream Pies I was eyeing.) They have a good flavor, but the icing isn't the best - it's that weirdly firm stuff they put on Zingers.

I love a good carrot cake, especially when moist with lots of chunky goodies in it (carrot, raisin, pineapple). Of course, I have a thing for cream cheese frosting, and I also like spicy things like chai, gingerbread, and Indian food. It's a marriage amde in heaven for me (and you, too, obviously). Hee!

If you're looking for good diet desserts, check out the Smart Ones ice cream desserts. The come two in a pack (I think), and they were very, very good - especially the cookie dough ice cream sundae.

Yes that was 4 degrees F with windchill feels like -15 degrees F.

For our European and metric friends that's -15.5C feels like -26.2C

Frackin' Bur!
