Doctor Eleven: I was so heartbroken about losing my favorite doctor I've barely watched Eleven, but when I watched the first two eps I was struck by the parallels between their relationship and Peter & Wendy. If you don't get it, think about it a little. No time has passed ( Read more... )

Those margaritas sound amazing! We were in Fort Worth in April visiting a friend and went to a tequila bar/restaurant that had a really fancy margarita menu. The one I got was pale pink and had grapefruit juice, lime juice, and hibiscus tequila. So delicious!

Yay, Kassi thinks something is awesome again! I'm so having a cucumber-basil margarita with you, after tea...

The Smith/Moffat era has made me completely fine with losing Tennant, mainly because it means we also lost RTD, and Moffat's writing makes RTD's look like 7th grade fanfic by comparison. (When I look back at End of Time, I don't think I'm using hyperbole all that much when I say that, either.) Smith is a damn fine Doctor, Amy Pond is an excellent companion (and easy on the eyes to boot), and Moffat, oh Moffat, I want to offer him sexual favors every time his dialogue and plot pour off the screen and make me so very very happy.

Okay, the Dalek ep was kind of ehh, but he didn't write that one.

Smith's first season finale is going to get here way too soon.

I hear you were at the show earlier this month - how awesome was that?

Although I was saddened by the COMPLETE LIE told by Damian when he said they'd never been in Raleigh - I saw them open for TMBG at the Lincoln in 2002! That is when I fell in love with them. =)

Yes, indeed, I was at the Lincoln earlier this month (twice, in fact), standing at the edge of the stage between Damian and Andy and having an awesome time. I guess you were there, too, eh?

Well, it seems to me that pretty much everything Damian says is a lie, hence the "I shit you not, people," when talking about his grandfather's beetle. I think he meant that it was the first time they were headlining in Raleigh, but that's not what he said. :)

I'm a late-comer to OK Go fandom, but enthusiastic (who else flies from NM to NC to see them, I ask you?). I knew of them from their Letterbox cover (hurray for TMBG crossover), but since I don't get to a lot of concerts (noone comes to ABQ that I want to see) I didn't really get to experience OK Go much, until their new album attacked me and took over my brain.

I was on the right-hand side of the stage, about halfway between the stage and the first riser area. Sadly, a huge crowd of seven-foot-tall loud dudes was congregating around us, but I managed to sneak into a good viewing spot.

I had NO IDEA they did a cover of Letterbox! That's exciting. When they opened for TMBG they covered Kiss Me, Son of God.

You were hardly the ugliest or quietest girl there by far! You were probably hit on because you came in late to a group of another girl and a guy (assumption being, incorrectly, that we were a couple), and any girl dateless and obviously having fun at a strip club must be freaky. Because surely there can't be any other reason. Like the three of us were just friends, none of us were together, and we were all just there to have fun. That can't be it!

I am so glad you had fun! I did too.
