Tutorial #3:Jack & Gwen (Ghost Machine)
Here is my third tutorial, using a cap from the third Torchwood episode, Ghost Machine.
Using Photoshop CS2, but is transferrable.
Step 1:
Crop image to 100x100 pixels
Step 2:
Duplicate the base twice. Set the first to screen and the second to soft light. I kept both of these at 100%, but you may wish to alter them depending on your base.
Step 3:
New colour fill layer (#0e3f69) Set to exclusion. Again I kept this at 100% but you may wish to change it.
Step 4:
Another new colour fill layer (#8ac0e5) Set to soft light 100%.
Step 5:
Merge all. Duplicate merged image and set to either overlay or softlight. For this particular icon I set it to overlay. If you set it to soft light you may wish to up the contrast a little.
And that's it! :D
