Brace yourself...

After a painfully long draught... I may, and I repeat MAY, have a bead on the 'fix' fic for the disaster that was Journey's End... at least, fixing it to fit my pretty little Who-verse.

I haven't even looked at Long Journey Home in weeks. Months. Since the airing of Journeys End, I've been in a slump. I mean, I knew they weren't going to ' ( Read more... )

fix-it-fic, romance, long journey home, journey's end

I consider myself thoroughly smacked. :-)

I'm nearly done with the first section, but I want to be a few sections ahead before I post.

So, soon.

I know where you are coming from...

It was clear from the beginning, that as long as the BBC wants to air Doctor Who the Doctor could never have a happy ending, even a temporary one.(I already dread what Moffat will come up with).
RTD did what he could and I'm torn, but the day I really resign myself to that ending, is the day I no longer care for Doctor Who. Just look at his face at the end of Journeys End.

Therefore I imagine Doctor Who as an open source, where the Fan Fic writers (Doctor/Rose Shippers) see the buggy versions 4.12 and 4.13 that caused a lot of crashes and general heartache and decide to correct it and improve it and swear to never let it happen again!

And thank you for writing The Unseen and In Between series, a gorgeous read.

Thank you very much, and you're most welcome. :-)

I feel like I need to 'fix it' to fit the universe I created. After that, I don't know if I'll continue since at that point my Doctor and Rose will be together. What is there to write?

Though, I could rewrite everything after the reunion to include her, right?

NO! NO! I can't even THINK about that right now! LOL

Now there's a great idea!Fantastic even!
I'd be on board to support you in a heartbeat.

*Considers virtual offerings to throw her way to sway the decision*

YAY! You're back! :D

And I agree with you completely about JE (even wrote a couple of fixits on my LJ, one serious, one not quite so). There's a LJ for those who disliked that ending here in case you're interested: http://community.livejournal.com/thebitterrose/

I like your stories very much and am looking forward to new ones.

Thank you. I hope to post soon. It won't be happy from the get-go, but I believe that happy endings are better for a rough journey

Well, if you have it, please post something. I'm eager.

Honestly, afterward you could just tell your own stories. Maybe?
