Middle America is wrong with our country. I will say no more, as the "smart" states (i.e Pennsylvania, California, New York, Washington DC) did not vote for our tyrant of a president. Fuck Bush. Kerry wasn't much better, but at least America wouldn't be in the world of shit it is in now. Bush is in his second term, this is what he wanted. He knows he will not be elected again (due to law, but I'm sure the hicks in the MidWest would love to have them some more Bush for the next 8 years), so he will not pull any punches and due anything and everything in his power to appease his business prerogative. Fuck that guy. Meek, we miss you. You look pretty in your icon too. Word to Germany.

There are three things most of America is concerned with - God, Guns, and Gays. Bush and Co was extremely smart in how they played it - so smart in fact that I believed some of their actions were going to cost them the election. When Bush introduced the amendment to ban gay marriage he knew it wouldnt pass, but what he did do was rally his base in conservative states. Those religious people upset that an amendment would be such an impossibility in controlling gay marriage had a different option - vote to ban gay marriage by state. And wouldnt you know it, the measure against gay marriage was on 11 ballots - 2 in very close swing states. Thats what gave Bush the popular vote, and thats what gave him Ohio. People registered just to vote against gay marriage, and while at the polls would then cast a vote for Bush too ( ... )

If life were fair, George Bush (either of them) would be making a living asking 'Do you want fries with that?'
-John Cleese

The unpleasant sound Bush is emitting as he traipses from one conservative gathering to another is a thin, tinny "arf" - the sound of a lap dog.
-George F. Will

Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber.
-Plato

A politician is a fellow who will lay down your life for his country.
