I'm startlingly well. I don't hate being alive anymore, which is rather pleasant.
For the last few years I've been filling my brain to maximum capacity with brain nerd stuff, and now awesome brain nerd goo is oozing out of me at high velocity into my students and clients. It's like brain porn.
I disengaged myself from the claws of crazy Manipulator Woman about a year ago, and SF is treating me very nicely.

Poor and happy. I've been dating spooktress for over a year now, and I'm stupidly in love. We're living in Seattle, in a cool triplex that overlooks the ocean. dgenerator and cokeandsympathy live on the ground floor of the triplex, and we live on the middle floor. It's fucking fantastic. Being poor sucks, but I'd much rather be poor and happy than paid and bored. Seattle rocks. I really dig the town, and the pulse of it all. I've always felt it was like San Francisco, without the "grasping-for-the-good-old-days" desperation to it. Sometimes, in the sunlight, you can mistake areas of Seattle for SF, and it's a trip. I just wish the rest of my friends would get up here now. It's good to hear that you're doing well, and are stuffing your brainmeats with power. I hope it continues!

"stupidly in love" sounds fun. Really glad to hear you're doing well. Poor sucks, but happy makes up for it. Here's to happy and not poor in '09!
Your triplex castle of oceany goodness sounds amazing. I'll have to come see it some time. I need to get up to Seattle anyhow, I seem to be accruing people there.
