「don't think you're irreplaceable.」

There was only one reason Dr. Theodore Ashbury was waiting in the car on a very busy day at the law office; and that was because his very close friend, River Song, had insisted.

If by 'insisted', he meant 'bodily dragged down a flight of stairs'.

He crossed a leg over his knee, tapping his fingers against his calf as he waited, the car engine running. It was like she had no cares in the world about her car. It was irritating! He loved his car. Who wouldn't? Honestly. He leaned over, pulling the key out of the ignition, then looking over to where River was.

She was knocking on some door, somewhere called the Sanctuary. She said that he needed to talk to someone there. He was baffled; for what reason would he have to be in someplace like that?

(Really, it was just strange, but many things about River was strange. Too strange, but he never questioned it.)

He really hoped she'd be back soon to drive him back.

He was getting awfully bored.

River, on the other hand, sighed as she grabbed hold of the Sanctuary doorknocker, knocking twice before pulling back. Being "undercover" as an archeologist wasn't so bad. She actually liked it. Maybe she'd pursue a profession in it, it was as close to time-traveling as she'd get after the Doctor. Time fascinated her, more than she'd admit.

At the moment, time was very much important, and very much the reason why she needed to talk to Helen. The date was fast approaching, and the Doctor had given her strict instructions to come to her.

It may sting a bit, but she knew the future, how the Doctor ended up. She accepted it.

She stepped back, brushing a bit of dirt off of her arm as she waited. River looked behind her as the Doctor--or, well, Theodore--started toying with the keys.

A small smile crossed her lips. Well, Helen should be glad to see that face after almost four months of being undercover.
