Friends,

Our pal Matt was involved in a serious car accident on thursday.  He is doing OK, but is still in the hospital.  Unfortunatly, now he and Bethany wont be able to come back for christmas.  Anyone who would like to contact him and needs his telephone number or address, let me know.

I'm at home to take a shower and get some x-mas presents together to bring to Matt. He's still in the hospital 'cause he's got a chest tube stuck in him to make sure his lungs do what they are supposed to do. He will be there over night for sure, but maybe we will be able to go home tomorrow. Everything seems to be going well, he has been up and moving around quite a bit lately and is mostly in good spirits. The tube is huge inside his body and he's got a bunch of broken ribs so I wouldn't exactly call him comfortable, but he is alive and getting better all the time - that's all that really matters. We're both sorry to not be able to come to Michigan, we were really looking forward to it. Hopefully, we will be able to make it there soon. Matt's mom is coming in tonight to visit and help out and mostly just see that he's okay for herself.
So, hug the ones you love and have a Merry Christmas for us.
